To get Badrinath by train, there are three railway stations Rishikesh, Haridwar and Dehradun that you can take public transportation from. Among these railway stations, Rishikesh is the nearest railway station at a distance of 300 kilometers from Badrinath. Rishikesh is small railway station in the district of Dehradun that doesn’t operates high speed trains. Haridwar is the nearest railway station, that has connectivity with the major cities in the country. Once you reach Rishikesh by train, taxis and buses are available for Badrinath so you can choose any of both as per the choice.

It is adjacent to Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun and around 262 kilometers away from IGI airport Delhi. From Jolly Grant airport, it is around 315 kilometers of distance from Badrinath. From airport, Either you can bus towards Rishikesh or book taxi to Badrinath.

How to reach Badrinath by Road
It lies on national highway NH 58 which connects Delhi, Haridwar, Meerut, Ghaziabad and Roorkee via road network. From Delhi, buses there are direct buses for Rishikesh and Haridwar. If you would not get bus for Badrinath at Rishikesh bus station, you can take bus for Rudraprayag, Chamoli or Joshimath and then take early bus next day early in the morning for Badrinath Town. The road distance from Rishikesh to Badrinath is around 300 kms via Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Joshimath.
