Bagdogra which is approximately 95 km away from the city is the immediate airport . There are few stright flights from the cities like Kolkata, Delhi and Guwahati to Darjeeling. You can reachthe city by hiring taxis from airport which will take approx 3 hours to reach Darjeeling from the airport.

How to reach Darjeeling by By Train
The Darjeeling railway station is governed by the Darjeeling Himalayan Railways (DHR). New Jalpaiguri (62 kilometres from the main city) which links major Indian cities like Kolkata, Delhi, Guwahati, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar and Cochin is the adjoining station. The DHR Toy Train benefit starts at New Jalpaiguri and will get you to Darjeeling at a pace no faster than 30 miles per hour.
