Tumkur Railway Station (codenamed TK) is located in Tumkur district of Karnataka, India. The station falls under the Tumkur taluk and is the suburban halt for the trains on the Chennai-Hubli railway line. The station is renovated in 2009 and is one of the modernized railway stations during the reign of former railway minister Mamata Banerjee. The station is well-connected to various parts of the country. There are express and super-fast trains that cross Tumkur railway station daily from cities like Chennai, Bijapur, Hubli, and others. The station falls under the administrative control of Bangalore division under South Western Railways Zone of Indian Railways.
