Samata Express is one of the many trains operated by Indian Railways and managed by Northern Railways. It is a daily service train categorized as superfast express plying between New Delhi and Vishakhapatnam.
Organized by the East Coast Railway’s Waltair Division, this train has been named in the remembrance of Samata Festival, which is held in Vishakhapatnam every year. Since 2011, the frequency of the trains has been increased to five trips every week. The name of the train in Sanskrit or Telugu language means ‘equality’ and has been of great significance to the culture of Vishakhapatnam.

As 12807, this train leaves from Vishakhapatnam at 0625 hours on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and arrives at New Delhi at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 1645 hours after 2 days. As 12808, Samata Express starts from New Delhi at 0840 hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday arriving in Vishakhapatnam at 1830 hours on the third day.
