Chopta is one of the beautiful hill station & evergreen forest area which lying in the lap of the Uttarakhand Himalayas and offers beautiful views of the Himalayan range including Trishul, Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba.

The nearest railhead to Chopta is Rishikesh situated 209kms away. Rishikesh is well connected by railway networks with major cities of India. Buses and Taxis to Chopta and Ukhimath are easily available from Rishikesh.
Rishikesh lies at a distance of around 200 km from Chopta. It’s, therefore, the nearest rail way station. There are regular express trains running to the town from different tourist destinations of the country. You can first catch a train to Rishikesh and then cover the remaining distance by road.

Chopta is well connected by roads with major towns of Garhwal region. Regular bus services to the town of Chopta is available easily. Follow the route of NH58 to reach up to Rudraprayag and after reaching Rudraprayag follow the route of Kedarnath.
