The Charminar Express is a daily express train that runs between Hyderabad Deccan and Chennai. The train is one of the most important trains in India as it connects two major metropolitan cities of the country. Chennai as well as Hyderabad are two of the largest cities in India; making them a hub for various businesses and tourism. The train is named after the historical monument, CharMinar of Hyderabad, which was built to mark the victory against a plague that claimed many lives in Hyderabad in the 15th century.
