The name of this train is derived from Seshadri Hills which are located in near Tirupati. This train runs between two important cities of South India, namely Bangalore and Kakinada. The train runs for nine hundred fifty nine kilometers and covers this distance in 18 hours and 55 minutes. The train runs as Up and Down train on a daily basis with train numbers 17209 and 17210. This train covers almost 31 stoppages. The train starts its journey from Bangalore City Junction of Karnataka State, and reaches to Kakinada Junction of Andhra Pradesh state. It passes through Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh states. The train is a daily train and therefore the advance booking is not a big trouble, however, for emergency travel, there is tatkal facility also. The train starts the journey from Bangalore City Junction at 11.00 and reaches the Kakinada Junction at 6.45 next day.
The train is operated by Southern Central Railway Zone. It runs on broad gauge track and the average speed of the train is 50 kilometers per hour and it has 31 stoppages on its route. 17210/09 Seshadri Express Coach Position, Seat Map & Fare

Belonging to South Coast Railways, the distance travelled by the train in total is 959 km. The operating speed of the train is 50 km/hour and the travel time is of around 19 hours and 45 minutes. Wish to know about the timing at which Seshadri Express leaves and reaches the destination station? In accord to the time table, train 17209 leaves from KSR Bengaluru city junction at 11:00 hours and reaches Kakinada Town junction at 06:45 hours on next day of travel. Train 17210 leaves from Kakinada Town at 17:35 hours and reaches KSR Bengaluru city junction at 12:25 hours, stopping by at 35 halts in between the travel. The train has 22 coaches available and the coach composition includes AC second tier, AC third tier, sleeper and general unreserved class of coaches.
